The documentary Fuera de Liga (Out of their league), by Ian Padrón, will be competing for the first time in the Baseball Film Festival, to take place in September 19-21, 2008, in Cooperstown, New York. This festival, which is organized every year by the Fame Salon and the National Baseball Museum, shows a sample of recent movie productions, in any genre, that deal with the theme of Baseball.

Fuera de Liga is not just the only Cuban movie among the nine selected for competition, but it is also the only one that is not North American. They are all competing for two awards: best movie and the Award for the Excellency of Baseball.
