The Cuban delegation includes Raúl Granjel, Yennier López, Reldys Pérez, Lizardo Benítez, Alien García and Arnold Alcolea, in addition to junior cyclists Freddy Buergos, Yasmani Martínez and Adriel Jiménez.

One of Cuba's best cyclists, Pedro Pablo Pérez, will not take part in the competition as a result of serious injuries sustained in a car accident in July.

Pérez, five times winner of the Cycling Tour of Cuba, has a vast experience in these kinds of competitions.

A score of teams, both local and foreign, will compete in the Cycling Tour of Mexico, which will be held again after being suspended for five years.
