The Cuban composer Roberto Valera was also nominated in the Best Contemporary Classic category for his CD Non Divisé, recorded by the Camerata Romeu, directed by Zenaida Romeu.

In the best Jazz album category is, among others, Gonzalo Rubalcaba the performer with a Cuban ascendance with his CD Avatar.

The ceremony will take place next November 13 in the Toyota Center from Houston, Texas.
