This visit will foster the excellent ties of brotherhood and cooperation existing between the two countries, Granma newspaper reported today.

At present, some 231 Cuban health collaborators are working in that nation, 36 professors advise the Literacy Campaign, and there are almost 700 Timor Leste medical students in Cuba.

Horta's agenda here includes official meetings with the president of the Council of State and Minister and other Cuban leaders, as well as visiting sites of economic, historic and cultural interest.
