The health professionals were bid farewell in a ceremony that was attended by the Cuban ambassador in this country, Maria Regueiro, who praised the work of these professionals who will now return to Cuba to continue making their contribution in their home country.

According to Prensa Latina news agency, the doctors spoke of their personal experiences in the African nation, where they faced diseases that they had never faced before, and also of their relationship with the local people.

Also present in the farewell ceremony were leaders of the Cuban Communist Party and of the Cuban diplomatic corps in Equatorial Guinea.
