Angola Inaugurates Eye Hospital Built with Help of Cuba
The facility, of which the equipment was donated by the Cuban government in September, 2007, will allow the carrying out of 65 consultations a day with the assistance of 38 technicians, 17 of them Angolans.

The Cuban Foreign Ministry’s website reports that the center has been working experimentally since April and that so far 11,453 consultations and 1,358 surgeries have been performed there.

The opening of this center reconfirms the support given by Cuba in this sector to that African nation and the increasing aid provided by the island to other regions of the world, highlights the note.
