An exhibition by the Cuban artist Tomás Rodríguez (Tomy) was opened last weekend in the city of Istanbul, one of the biggest cities in Turkey.

The exhibit is part of the program of the 28th International Caricature Contest, one of the most prestigious events of this kind in that country, reports the Granma newspaper.
The exhibition is made up by twenty-five works by Tomy and has a distinguished place at the venue of the Association of Caricaturists of Turkey (ACT).
The opening was attended by prominent Turkish personalities like Metin Peker, president de la ACT , among them.
The Cuban draftsman, who is a jury member in the contest, declared to be moved by the Turkish solidarity with the Island. The caricaturists from the two countries have very good relations.
At present, Tomy is working as an editorial caricaturist of the Granma newspaper and the weekly paper Granma Internacional.
