A monument to Che Guevara featuring a sculpture based on the famous photo taken by Alberto Korda was inaugurated in the city of Oleiros, Spain.
The monument was designed by Cuban artist Juan Quintanilla, in cooperation with Karol William Perez, a graduate from Havana´s San Alejandro Academy and member of the Hoyo Colorao band, reported Granma newspaper.
The impressive structure is 8 meters high, weighs 32 tons, and it is made of steel and gray granite. Che Guevara´s son, Camilo Guevara, attended the unveiling ceremony.
