The new equipment includes rolling trucks, mobile workshop and graders that will be used by the same brigade currently working on the eight-kilometre stretch linking the town of Santa Lucia and the Playa Blanca resort, both in the municipality of Rafael Freyre .

ECOPP Director Angel Heredia announced that at the conclusion of this stretch, the brigade will begin working some 90 kilometers between the cities of Cueto and Sagua de Tanamo, in the Holguin-Moa main road.

Brigade workers will work to repair potholes and other damages caused in part by Tropical Storm Noel in 2007.
