The scientific results of the Sixth International Conferece on Traditional, Natural and Bio-energy Medicine, held every two years in the province of Holguin, will be transferred for the first time to communities, by way of training courses for the population.
The conference will take place from July 9 to 12 with a focus on healthy exercises and lifestyles, said Dr. Bernardo Acosta, president of the event's organizing committee. He said that workshops would feature classes on respiratory and physical exercises, energy massages, and yoga techniques for relaxation.
More than 400 specialists from Asia, Europe and the Americas are expected to participate in this meeting, which will also offer post-congress courses and workshops for health professionals interested in themes, including neural therapy, api-therapy, and biopuncture.
Participants in the event will also share their experiences in the use of traditional medicine in psychology in the treatment of drug addicts and in the rehabilitation of patients with ataxia espinocerebelosa type 2.
In Cuba, natural and traditional medicine practices extend to all levels of the island's healthcare system aimed at the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.
