The direction of the Provincial Committee of Cuba’s Association of Writers and Artists (UNEAC), which is the main promoter of this event, grated the “musicalísima” a certificate that credits her as the first woman who sang to the Cuban internationalist troops in Angola, during the 1970’s.

Beatriz Márquez, together with Raquel Hernández, Freddy Vera and Camaguey Folkloric Ballet are special guests to the 8th edition of Boleros de Oro in Camaguey.

The UNEAC venue in Camaguey will also hold the third symposium on the Bolero and the Song in Camaguey, where juries will analyze 25 different works submitted to this contest.

This Sunday the most outstanding investigation on this subject will be announced at the Teatro Principal, as well as the wining composition of the contest where over 10 authors participate.
