The pictorial work "Jugando con la esfera" an oil painting, dimensions 90 cm x 70 cm, by the Cuban artist Alfredo Sosabravo, 1997 National Fine Arts Prize, is exhibited as part of the week of French filmography in Cuba.
The painting, created in 1996 and where a stylized subject is represented with a bird in the shoulder, sending to the air a sphere, had to be adapted by the own artist to turn it into an announcing poster without losing the essence of its work.
In such sense, Sosabravo added a small green saurian to the painting, as a symbol of the island of Cuba and in the sphere the fragment of celluloid with the letter "f" repeated in each picture, in denomination to the French country.
General Director of French Alliance Foundation in Cuba Georges Chapelle expressed in a press conference his special thanks to insigne artist for having accepted to participate in this way in the new edition of the cinema festival.
