The people from Las Tunas still remember the emotional days of November 2007, when Alicia Alonso, the prima ballerina assoluta, visit them and gave them their art in the excellence presentation of the National Ballet. This time, the province published their interest in receiving the Festival and we saw the dream very close, when we heard the news that Alicia, the main promoter of the event, accepted the proposal.

The Festival will start the 28 of October, just on the 60 anniversary of the award winner Cuban company, and will end the 6 of November. As in previous editions, the coming event will give the public the chance to see dancing important world figures as well as the talent grown in the island.

From this moment on, the preparation to become a luxury host city must be a priority. It is an honor to receive the biggest event of the Cuban dance in the year of the six decades of the National Ballet, an institution that manages to combine the Cuban with the universal, that has made its flag out of the Cuban, always raised for life and the creation of Alicia, an eternal Gisselle.
