In Ciego de Avila, Cuba: Five Years Without Deaths by Traffic Accidents in Jardines del Rey
On that date, a unpleasant incident took place. A jeep turned over close to the bridge located at the entrance of the 19-kilometer-long causeway that links the mainland to Cayo Coco, the main spot of the destination.

Jardines del Rey, located on the north coast of Ciego de Ávila province, has some 150 kilometers of asphalted roads linking Cayo Coco, Guillermo and Paredón keys, besides a beautiful tropical nature, including fine-sand beaches.

Among the services offered by this destination, mention should be made of the 3 600 rooms in 4 and 5-stars hotels. Every year the place is visited by over 200 000 foreign tourists.
The result as regards respect to the Laws of Traffic influences in that Blind of Ávila it maintains for several years the county condition with lower index of accidents in Cuba.

The low index of traffic accidents in Jardines del Rey has also contributed to the provincial statistics. For many years Ciego de Ávila has been included among the provinces with less traffic accidents in the country.
