The Cuban Institute of Radio and Television says the new channel will broadcast programs from networks like Telesur, Venezolana de Television, Television Espanola and Discovery.
The project is part of Cuba"s state investment efforts to enhance leisure fun choices while giving the people knowledge and general culture.
Cuba"s national TV comprehends four channels covering 90 percent the national territory whose mountain topography urged for special technological investments to eliminate "zones of silence".
It also has 14 provincial channels and 27 at different municipalities.
