According to the Cuban News Agency, the photographs with the biographies of Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González y René González, well-known internationally as the Cuban Five, were seen and read by students of public schools present at the inauguration ceremony.
Berta Verdura, minister consultant of the embassy of Cuba, attended the activity together with the local authorities and representatives of the participant Cuban publishing houses.
The Cuban Five were arrested in 1998 for infiltrating anti-Cuban groups in the South of Florida, in order to alert their country on terrorist actions that have caused thousands of deaths, wounded people and considerable damages to the national economy.
