During the event, Mariscal opened a poster exhibition made to promote jazz musicians like Mario Bausá, designed for the covers of The New Yorker or as menus of restaurants.

Mariscal likes Cuba because the people are very creative. His first artistic steps were in the world of underground comics, when he was living and studying in Barcelona, and which he renewed later in Spain, with its famous stories “Garriris”.

The artist is currently working on the production of a cartoon about Havana in the 40´s, directed by Fernando Trueba, which could be finished in 2009.
