In Sancti Spiritus, Cuba: Second Biennial of Artistic Ceramic EnBarrArte 2008
The exhibition "Tierras de Fuego" began to take place this Wednesday, by Noelvis Valdivieso, at the Gallery of Art Oscar Fernandez Morera, in this central city, 217 miles east Havana.

More than 20 works of the young author are exhibited there, including ceramic-made coffee pots, bottles and six pictures where this technique is applied.

The collective ceramics exhibition entitled Al Rojo Cereza was also inaugurated, and others carried out during the first encounter (in 2006), at Fayad Jamis Gallery of the National Union of Artists and Writers of Cuba (UNEAC) of this province.

Later, participants moved to Volume and Space Workshop to carry out practical activities.

The event is sponsored by the Gallery of Art Oscar Fernandez Morera and counts with the collaboration of UNEAC, Jose Marti Cultural Society, Cuban Association of Craft Artists and Cuban Fund of Cultural Goods.

Theoretical encounters with conversations or conferences distributed by artists who attend the Biennial will also take place during this cultural day.

The inauguration of "Sirvase Usted" is planned to happen on Thursday, an exhibition of ceramic-made dishes that competed at Sancti Spiritus Ceramic Art Encounter 2006.
