To extend the University of Information Technologies to three regional schools, where graduates from technical institutes can continue higher studies of informatics all over the country, is a great experiment that oblige us to create and think every day, expressed in this territory Carlos Valenciaga, member of the Sate Council, during the celebrations for the first anniversary of the project that coincides with the birthday of the Young Communists League (UJC, after its initials in Spanish) and the Pioneer Organization.

Valenciaga indicated in the meeting with teachers and students from the Martires de Artemisa School that this project is still a priority of the Cuban government and invited everybody who has today the privilege of studying in such a university to recruit the relief in their own territories for the school to keep growing and creating for the information needs of every region.

Roilán Rodríguez, member of the National Bureau of the UJC, highlighted the symbolism of that school, located in this western municipality due to a proposal made by Fidel, as a tribute of the new generations to the young people from Artemisa who joined the Revolution since the Moncada.

Gretchen Gómez, president of the Federation of Students of Middle Education (FEEM, after its initials in Spanish), joined the future engineers in this birth date and called them to teach new technicians in this specialty, since they need a better prepared teachers staff to later on, grow as university students and in the production of software of high economic and social impact for the country.
