Desmond La Touche, National Director of the Program highlighted results and work done in different centers, the cooperation offered by many school directors, church pastors and other persons.

He called on the graduates to continue studies in the second phase of the program.

Education Minister Claris Charles, praised the Cuban collaboration with her country and listed some educational successes achieved by Cuba.

The minister of Labor, Communication and Transportation, Brenda Hood, noted the importance of education at a time when the Caribbean works towards integration and development.

The program Yes I Can, developed during the 90s, achieved its first three million graduates last year.
