The set will be built at Punta Gorda, Holguin province.
It is located on the former Camariocas factory; venue of the Yamanigüey project.
This project is aimed to produce a material that is 70 percent iron and 30 nickel, with great demand in the iron-and-steel industry.
Hector Lugo, executive of Holguin Electric Company, stated that the Power Generating Unit will have 20 engines generating 8.73 Megawatts each.
Lugo also said that the investment currently undergoes its first stage, where research, engineering works, and projects are carried out; and that the Construction Company is already preparing the technical conditions to undertake the work.
