The steel materials collected in Sancti Spiritus are sent to Havana’s Antillana de Acero steel factory and to the steel plant in the Cuban eastern province of Las Tunas, added Porcegué.
Likewise, he said, both copper and aluminium are used in the production of cables while the latter is also used in the construction of windows and doors.
