In Cuba: I Caribbean Dance Biennale which began here this week
The event will join together artists from Venezuela, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Brazil, Barbados, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Martinique and the host country starting from March 27 and until April 2.

An international jury, presided by professor Ramiro Guerra, pioneer of modern dance in our country, will hand in the prizes to a solo artist as well as a collective piece by up to six performers.

The winners will be congratulated with a tour around South America during the second semester of the year.

Among the guest personalities are the Argentinean Susana Tambutti, dancer, choreographer and coordinator from the Dance Theory Department from the National University Institute, in Buenos Aires.

There will also be the French woman Agnés Izrine, editorial chief from the Danser magazine; the Australian writer Robyn Arche, director from the Adelaida Festival; the Brazilian Eduardo Bonito, director from the Dance Panorama Festival, from Rio de Janeiro.

The South American Dance Festival will be held in parallel. It is integrated by professionals from that modality in Latin America aiming to bring creators together and articulate planning strategies, sustainability and methodological training.

The Caribbean Dance Biennale, which will travel all over the region in its following editions, will share its space with the 13th Dance in Urban Landscapes Festival organized by the Cuban company Retazos, in the historical center of Havana.
