Guaguanpiano is the name of the song recorded together with the group "Los Muñequitos de Matanzas". In statements to acn, Fernandez said this is an unprecedented experience for him and a privilege due to their unique way of interpreting Afro-Cuban music.
"Canto de los ancestros" is meant as homage to his ancestors, and includes themes linked to the roots of the Cuban and Spanish cultures, born of the creativity of the genius author of "Zapateo por derecho".
The flamenco part of the album is still missing, but "it will be very much like the theme I composed to pay homage to the great Spanish artist Antonio Gades," Frank told ACN.
Fernandez, gave a one time only concert in the Teatro Sauto of Matanzas, some 62 miles east of Havana.
