Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation ''MINVEC'', Orlando Requejo Gual, arrived on Thursday in Paramaribo, the Surinamese capital, heading the Cuban delegation to the 3rd Cuba-Suriname Joint Commission that takes place there for two days.
Both delegations will discuss topics related to bilateral cooperation, particularly in the health sector, which began in that South American nation with the implementation of the Cuba-led Integral Program in April 2007.
In addition, they will analyze other fields in which cooperation is possible such as agriculture, sports, culture, academic exchange, and others.
The Cuban delegation also includes Anaisa Pardillo Anceaume, a MINVEC official; and Andres Gonzalez Garrido, the island’s ambassador in Suriname.
