Cave art made by indigenous people in a central Cuban province

Cave art made by indigenous people in a central Cuban province continues revealing the primitive communities' forms of life, cult, magic and evolution, researcher Luis Olmo Jaz said.

Olmo, who is a member of the SAMA speleology group of Sancti Spiritus, 217 miles east of Havana, told Prensa Latina that this man-life relation is reflected in petroglyphs rudimentarily created in the bowels of caves.

This evidence, and those of the indigenous people/conquerors encounter, can be seen in caves of Caguanes Park and the Buena Vista Bay, declared by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve, among others.

The archaeological center in Caguanes area, one of the most important in Cuba, helps us know more about our ancestors, he stressed.
