Immunized with Antiflu Vaccine in Las Tunas, Cuba  More than 22, 000 people.
Aimara Castillo Escriba, responsible for this Campaign in the province, stated that of those inoculated about 20, 000 belong to the third age many of them institutionalized in homes for handicapped people, for old men and for grandparents, because this people figure among those of of more vulnerability to the flu.

The specialist in Internal Medicine detailed that this service of health foresees to reduce mainly the deaths in people older than 70 year-old with breathing illnesses, produced by complications with common colds.

Some other populational segments that received this vaccine, applied in a subcutaneous way, are patients with Chronic Renal Inadequacy, people that cohabit with VIH/SIDA and poultry workers.

More than one hundred of vaccination places have been enabled in the eight municipalities of the province, organized by the policlinics and the Doctor's clinics in the neighborhood.

Since 1999 Cuba promotes the covering of antiflu vaccination in the different groups of risk, initiated with more than 18, 000 dose until reaching 1, 450, 000 dose in the current season.
