Venezuela Remembered the 127th Anniversary of the Arrival to Caracas of the Cuban Apostle José Martí
Amarilis Hernández, the cultural attaché from the Cuban embassy in Venezuala, highlighted the influence of the Liberator Simón Bolivar in that idea of unity by Martí.

In this sense, she highlighted that from Venezuela came out a completely different Martí. From there he could see "what was the reality of Latin America at that point" and appreciate the existence of independence as the only road.

In the work of the fighter and poet one has to highlight also the teaching of world culture thanks to his performance in journalism, she added.

The celebrations are part of an activity program sponsored by institutions such as the Cuban Embassy in Venezuela, the José Martí House of Our America, the National Library, the Latin American Parliament and the Ministry of Foreigh Affairs, among others.

The chronogram includes events in Caracas and the states of Miranda, Aragua, Vargas and Carabobo, where a cinema forum is taking place with the movie by Edmundo Aray Martí. Ese soy yo (Martí. That is me).

There are also conferences and cultural activities in the National Library, as well as the presentation of the first number of La Edad de Oro (The Golden Age).

The closing of the festivity will take place at the José Martí Plaza on Monday January 28, on the day of the 155th anniversary of the birth of the Apostle.
