4th National Cuban Television Festival to be announced
The 4th Cuban Television Festival, which will exhibit between next January 29th and February 2nd a balance of the outstanding pieces during the last year and there will be debated themes related to this media. It coincides with current efforts of its artists and workers to better the quality and the diversity of the programs, highlighted the organizers of the event.

A main role is assumed on this occasion by the television centers from the inland, since they contributed with 79 programs in the case of the territorial entities and 5 from the municipal ones, with a realization quality that competes with that of the national channels, according to the opinion of the representatives of the jury such as Maité Vera and Ernesto Piñero.

The theoretical part of the Festival will be channeled through four round tables in the Centro de Prensa Internacional (International Press Center) (CPI in Spanish), between January 30 and February 2, on the topics culture and entertainment, treatment of history, importance of dramatic writing and the globalization and identity in musical programs.

The Festival will held activities in the morning, afternoon and evening, and among its greatest attractions will be the exhibition of programs in Premiere in the La Rampa cinema, which will also be the venue of the opening ceremony on the 30th at 10:00 a.m. Among the premieres are the theatrical piece Escándalo en la Trapa (José Brene) directed by Tomás Piard.

Also the story by Isaac Asimov, Satisfacción garantizada (Satisfaction guaranteed) (Elena Palacios); the tele-play by Roly Peña on the space Aventuras (Adventures) dedicated to Erick Kaupp; a cartoon premiere; and a sample of six documentaries of Televisión Serrana.

The encounter will also include two galas, one of them to award the prizes of the specialties on Thursday, January 31st (8:30 p.m.) in the Astral Theater and the closing gala in the Karl Marx on Saturday, February 2nd (6:30 p.m.).
