Camagüey commemorates 49th anniversary of Fidel Castros triumphant entry into town

Once again, the people of Camaguey expressed its steadfast decision of defending the Cuban Revolution, at a rally that commemorated the 49th anniversary of the triumphant entry of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro into the city.
Lieutenant Colonel Jesús Echeverría, President of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC) in the province, highlighted that, with the entry into town of the Caravan of the Liberty on January 4th, 1959; the countrys yearning of independence began to be certain.
The support of the newest generations to the cause the nation has been building up over nearly half a century also was expressed in a meeting, where the captain of the Rebel Army, Pablo Carcí Castro, member of the caravan received an acknowledgement.
Camagüey remembered the anniversary in a rally presided over by Julio César García Rodríguez, First Secretary of the Communist Party (PCC) in the province and where hundreds of people attended.
