The Computer and Electronics Youth Clubs of Ciego de Ávila increased their services with the inauguration of a digital library. The new facility provides the users with free access to more than 4 800 volumes.

The offer is available at the following website: www.cavila.jovenclub.cu, which also facilitates the acquisition of texts either directly on the Cuban Intranet or on the e-mail.

Ramón Carrazana Martínez, subdirector of those institutions in the province, informed that the huge list of volumes comprises topics that range from computer science to literature for all ages, including general culture titles such as One Hundred Hours with Fidel, by Ignacio Ramonet or José Martís Compiled Works.

The 27 Computer and Electronics Youth Clubs of Ciego de Ávila also facilitate the constant exchange of information among the Cuban specialists accomplishing technical missions abroad and their relatives on the island.

More than 50 000 citizens have received different services this year in these institutions, which are also engaged in the production of software for children on topics related to the historical and cultural roots of the different municipalities.
