The new technologies will be closer to young Latin American film makers
The cinematographic equipment renting company Cámara Rental showed here the new technology they will give to the young film makers of the San Antonio de los Baños Cinema and TV School (EICTV, after its initials in Spanish), south west of Havana.

According to Natividad Jaén, commercial manager of the company for Latin America and the Caribbean, the first step in the collaboration was the loan to EICTV by undefined time of a 35 mm camera for the students in their graduation dissertation.

The future producers, photographers and film makers of the sub-continent appreciated a number of cameras and advanced accessories at an exhibition during the resent Havana film festival.

Many of these equipments are preferred by famous international directors, among them the US Woody Allen and the Spanish Pedro Almodóvar, clients of Cámara Rental.

Jaén emphasized that the exhibition is the introduction of a curse they will offer at the EICTV for the students to now the new Arri technologies. Cuba, she said, has also excellent photographers and filmmakers and we hope to be able to help them in the execution of their projects.

Regarding the price adjustments for the Latin American filmmakers, the executive said that there is a will to support that is not apart from the economic situation of the region.

Among the showed equipments there are the cameras Arriflex SR 3, Arriflex 435 and Movicam Compact, the so called "Ferrari" of the cinematographic cameras.
