Pinar del Rio province have already elected its first direct delegate to the XI Congress of the Federation of High School Students (FEEM), and turned out to be Lázaro Iván Barrio, of "Tranquilino Sandalio de Noda" Polythecnical School, one of the best centers in the province.

The territory will elect two other direct delegates to the Congress, to be held on March 2008.

Pinar del Río will be represented by 52 students. Every center will elect a delegate to the municipal congress, and then to the provincial event to be held on February 15.

During the whole January will take place the municipal assemblies of the organization whose main topics will be related to youth as a continuity of the Revolution, healthy recreation, the defense of the Fatherland, the participation in Military Service and the incorporation to pedagogical careers, etc.

Yosvany Alberto Montano, provincial president of the FEEM, informed that in these moments all the centres celebrate the sport cup XI Congress, also dedicated to the Triumph of the Revolution, on January 1st.

The delivery of sport implements such as balls and other resources has become a considerable impulse to practice sports in every center, specially in boarding schools.
