The Ballet of Camagüey performs today as part of its 40th anniversary

The Ballet of Camagüey will perform today as part of its 40th anniversary; those pieces presented on December 1st 1967 will be presented one more time.
Directed by Regina Balaguer, the cast will present ¨La Fille mal Gardée, in a show that starts at 8:30 PM at El Teatro Principal, where the premiere was presented 40 years ago.
Ballets from Santiago de Cuba and Holguín will present respectively, "Les Sylphides", "Le Pas de Trois", and "The Lake of the Swans", among other pieces that marked the birth of the first classic company created by the Cuban Revolution.
Until December 9th, this event proposes certain activities including performances of 14 groups from five provinces.
Fernando Alonso, ex director of the company, is among the personalities who attend the ceremony, and was honored to the eve of the event.
