The remains of Cuban diplomat Jose Armando Guerra Menchero will be buried Wednesday at the Revolutionary Armed Forces' Pantheon in Havana's Colon cemetery, Granma newspaper reported. Guerra Menchero died in this capital Tuesday, and at the moment of his death, he was an advisor of the Foreign Affair Minister, the daily states. Born in 1942, the diplomat was part of the 26th of July Movement and joined the Rebel Army led by President Fidel Castro. "He was one of the young men who along with the 'Chancellor of Dignity' Raul Roa joined since 1960 the Foreign Affairs Ministry, where he held important responsibilities," adds the note. From 1999 to 2005, Guerra Menchero was deputy foreign minister, ambassador to China and Japan, and held several decorations.
