The exhibitions Landings 6 and 7, made by works of young plastic artists from Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico, will be exhibit from last Friday and until the 31st of this month at the Casa de las Americas, Havana.

Many of the pieces that will be exhibit at the Cuban capital will be made in the place of the exhibition, since one of the creative conditions of Landings is the mixture of the cultures and the identification with the context in which it were made.

Landings, a Project born in Belize in 2004, gathers together representatives from different emerging artistic movements of the countries of the region, with the main purpose of creating from the questioning and the exploration.

Joan Durán, director of those meetings, said that the 6 and 7 productions, concrete years of work and show a more complete vision of the conflicts of the planet.

In the first 5 exhibitions were presented works from over 50 artists from countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Puerto Rico, Haiti, Cuba, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and USA, indicates Agencia de Información Nacional.

The Cuban public will be able to enjoy Landings, 6 and 7 at the Latin American and Haydée Santamaría galleries respectively. Landings 6 and 7 have already visited museums in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Costa Rica and USA.
