Copa Airlines to Increase Flights to Cuba
Panama's Copa Airlines will increase the frequency of flights to Cuba next year to meet the growing demand for travels to the Caribbean Island.

Authorities from the two countries signed a cooperation agreement by virtue of which 500 Panamanian travelers will arrive in Havana every day starting in May 2008.

Panamanian Vice President Samuel Lewis pointed out that the initiative will benefit the two countries' tourist industries and will boost bilateral trade.

According to the agreement, Copa Airlines will fly to Havana four times a day, carrying an average of 500 passengers.

At present, Copa Airlines operates three daily flights to Cuba, and flights will increase to 28 a week after the agreement comes into force.
