Cuban Vice President Carlos Lage is in Santiago de Chile heading the island's delegation to the 17th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government.
The summit will begin on Thursday until Saturday. The Ibero-American Summits is a forum of political dialog made up by Latin American nations, Spain and Portugal.
This year's summit will focus its debates on the issue of "social cohesion and social policies in Latin America societies".
