Belarus approves agreements on air communication with United Arab Emirates and Cuba

On October 17 the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus approved the ratification of the intergovernmental agreements on air communication with Cuba and the United Arab Emirates.
As Nikolai Cherginets, the chairman of the permanent commission for international affairs and national security of the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament, noted, the agreement describes procedures of delegating relevant authorities to the air companies of the sides, defines rights and obligations when airspace is exploited, the order of receiving and revoking flight permits, application of the laws and procedures of recognising certificates in this field.
Moreover, the document regulates the order of disposing incomes received from the ticket sale and transfer of currency, setting up representative offices in the territory of another state. It describes a system of aviation safety under threat of violence and when illegal articles and substances are transported, the order of settling disputes and other issues.
