President of Guinea Bissau visits Cuba
The president of the African nation of Guinea Bissau, Joao Bernardo Vierira arrived in Cuba on Sunday at the invitation of Cuban First Vice President Raul Castro.
President Bernardo Vieira, 68, is accompanied in his visit by Maria da Conceicao Nobre Cabral, minister of Foreign Relations, International Cooperation and the Communities, and other top level officials.
The African leader, who has visited Cuba on several occasions, will hold talks with Raul Castro and meet with other Cuban officials. He will also visit places of historic, scientific, and cultural interest.
The visit that concludes on Thursday, will contribute to strengthening the existing relations of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Guinea Bissau.
