Cuban dancers perform at Rome Opera Theate

First lead ballet dancer Cuban Annete Delgado and principal dancer Taras Domitro will perform at Rome Opera Theater's Ballet Company at the beginning of September and late October invited by its Director Carla Fracci.

Delgado and Domitro, representatives of the latest generation of talents members of the group led by Prima Ballerina Absolute Alicia Alonso, will perform "Blue Bird" pas de deux from third act of "The Sleeping Beauty Ballet Show," with Fracci performing Carabosse fairy.

The production is a choreographic version created specially for Rome Opera Theater's Ballet Company by Paul Chalmer.

Delgado is characterized by a solid technique she handles with remarkable fluidity, sensitivity and elegance. Argentine Julio Bocca travelled to Cuba invited to take part in the 20th Ballet Festival of Havana November 2006, where he was a distinguished guest, and went to the island to first dance Odette-Odile in Swan Lake with Delgado, performing his last ballet show-piece in the island.

Delgado and Domitro made a big impression - bold and elegant dancing- followed by "widespread critical acclaims overseas" during their latest participation of National Cuban Ballet in the festival "Les etes de la danse" at Grand Palais, Paris.

Taras "for his vigor" and Delgado "for her great feeling for dancing destined to fly".
