The cycle on some thirty writers of Europe, Asia, Africa and America, winners of the Nobel Prize of Literature, ends in Holguin after three months of lecturing on the life and work of those great authors by local narrators, poets and specialists.

Sponsored by the Provincial Book Center, the Pedro Ortiz Literary Promoter and Ediciones Holguín editing house the cycle ended with the talk on the great writers Nadine Gordimer from South African, Portuguese Jose Saramago and Chinese Gao Xingian.

The cycle on Nobel Prize of Literature winners came as part of the summer season program aimed at fostering reading as a sound recreation form.

The idea was not only commenting on authors and their works but also book presentations where readers could buy their favourite books.

Many cultural institutions, universities, health centers, factories and other centers welcomed the reading fiesta this summer that has not ended yet as vacations for students did.
