Cuban Musician Jose Maria Vitier will lead his "Misa Cubana" in Dominican Republic
Cuban musician Jose Maria Vitier will lead Friday for the first time on the sacred day of the Cobre Virgin of Charity, his "Misa Cubana" at the Primate Cathedral of the Americas in this capital.
His first performance will be attended by several Cuban and Dominican musicians and singers, Vitier told Prensa Latina.
"Misa Cubana" has been performed some 80 times, 60 abroad and 20 in Cuba, stated the island's musician, but this is the first time I lead it on the day of the Virgin of Charity," said the performer who wrote the work a decade ago.
Parallel to this is a pictorial display allegorical to Jose María Vitier's music.
