Cuba to host International Forum on Zoology

The tourist complex Topes de Collantes, in central Cuba, will host the 7th International Symposium on Zoology.

Experts said that Topes de Collantes is an excellent venue to hold the meeting, as it is a protected natural area.

The event will contribute to scientific-technical exchange among experts in biological sciences, the environment and the preservation of natural resources.

Among the main topics to be discussed at the meeting are ecology, biodiversity monitoring, preservation biology, protected areas, animal behavior, evolution, health and applied zoology.

Experts from 15 countries, including Mexico, Spain, the United States, Canada, Argentina, Japan, Brazil and Cuba, have confirmed participation in the meeting.

These kinds of events, the experts added, also boost sustainable and nature tourism programs, as they promote leisure in direct contact with the environment.
