Circuba 2007 Festival in Havana

Havana, July 23- Cuba is getting ready to celebrate again Circuba 2007 Festival, after 18 years, to be carried out at Havana August 2-5, festival organizers announced Monday.
Cuban National Circus President Rolando Rodriguez Romero explained in a press conference that the festival will be competitive. One year will be nationally celebrated and next one internationally.
During this edition, with venue at Karl Marx Theater, only best artist of the Island will participate, with 18 acts to compete in 2008 with foreign participants.
There are inviters from the famous companies like "Cirque du Soleil" and representatives of France, Japan, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela and South Korea.
Romero explained Cuban Circus Company, totally renewed, counts with a style of their own. "Our technique comes from the Russian one, but we have created our own style with the time," he said.
In the school, there are talented people, with ages between 19 and 30 years old.
